Who we are

Fond du Lac STEM Academy is a tuition-free public charter school serving both middle and high school students. STEM is focused on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, and teaches all core subjects through the lens of Project-Based Learning. 

STEM students are able to enjoy a range of classes, clubs, sports and activities. We place a great deal of emphasis on Band, Orchestra, Art, and World Language classes. We believe the research that states fine arts and world language studies enhance a student’s ability to learn and attend in school! 

STEM courses are innovative and require an element of independence and hard work from students. We are focused on developing diligence as we guide and help build the executive functioning skills our students need to be successful. 

We are a group of caring educators who believe that there are innovative, research-based ways to educate children without sacrificing content mastery. We have a charter with the district that states we will use certain, specific methods to guide our students in ways that a traditional model may not be able to implement. Our Fabrication Labs, Science Labs, Audio-Visual Labs, and outdoor classrooms allow us to teach our students about the world around them, while also preparing them for the world after high school.
